poker cabinet to jamma 60 in 1
I got this cabinet as an empty old poker cabinet and decided to make it into a single-player 60 in 1 jamma machine. I started by making a custom control panel because the old one wouldn’t work with its weird poker layout. I decided to try and replicate the curved front edge of the control panel on my new one by gluing boards together at the front of the control panel then sanding it for a while till I got the curve I wanted, however, the curve wasn’t perfect as I would discover later when I went to vinyl the control panel and it wouldn’t go one right leaving some wrinkles in the vinyl on the front. for buttons, I used some cool light up micro switch style buttons and a micro switch joystick. for a monitor, I used a VGA hp monitor but to get it to look cleaner I decided to remove the bezel from the monitor so I could make the monitor surround go right against the monitor. this cabinet came with a quarter slot in it so I decided to wire that up on a switch so on the inside you can switch between either needing quarters or just using a coin button to add credit (the icade 60in1 does have free play option on the board however I like the feel of having to add credits) i decided to keep the original wood grain vinyl that was on the sides since it was actually in really good shape for a stripped gambling cabinet.
