Operation wolf cabinet restoration
So I finally got around to working on my operation wolf cabinet that I’m pretty sure was sitting in a puddle of water for a good bit of it’s life. After I started I realized I did It wrong I should have just cut the whole bottom 8 inches off and completely remade the base but I went a different route because I didn’t think it was so bad. I decided to reinforce the walls by adding boards on the inside
As you can see from the image above the condition of this cabinet is horrible but after adding the inside boards and making sure they are level as they are what the base will be going onto I made the base however from photos online I know it was supposed to have a foot thing that stuck out and since mine was missing it I had to guess on the size it was supposed to be and since I put the boards on the inside I had to make a custom drawer for the electronics as the old one wouldn’t have fit even if it was in usable shape
One thing I’ve learned is you don’t have to measure right as long as you have enough Bondo which this cabinet ended up using almost a whole “gallon”of
after a bunch of Bondo and a bunch of sanding which turned my garage into a kingdom of dust which is why you wear respirators it was ready for paint!
